Although Esperanto was designed as a neutral international language, it is deeply rooted in European linguistic structures and therefore reflects Eurocentric biases. Promoting it as a universal solution risks reproducing a colonial mindset. While English is also historically tied to colonial power structures, it functions today as a widely understood lingua franca. Using English is therefore often a pragmatic choice that improves accessibility, rather than an attempt to impose a universal one language.
